Today’s metal braces aren’t the clunky metal braces of the past. We’re here to tell you that today’s metal braces have drastically improved both in comfort and appearance! Advances in orthodontic technology have resulted in smaller, lower-profile brackets. This means that they are less noticeable and cause less irritation for a comfortable treatment experience.
There is a reason that metal braces are the most popular and traditional method for straightening teeth — they deliver results! See for yourself why metal braces are tried and true method for creating new, beautiful smiles.
Another alternative to traditional metal braces is clear ceramic braces. Instead of metal brackets, these brackets are made from a clear ceramic material that provides a more discreet look for your orthodontic treatment. When paired with similarly translucent wires and bands, these braces are barely noticeable!
Some people may confuse the term “clear braces” with clear aligners, but ceramic braces are not Invisalign. They are much closer to traditional metal braces. As with metal braces, the ceramic brackets attach to your teeth. An archwire connects each tooth and gradually shifts the teeth into the desired position over time.
For some of our patients, traditional braces don’t fit into their lifestyle. Invisalign is a discreet treatment that gradually moves teeth into the desired position using clear aligners. These aligners are removable and virtually invisible, which means you can straighten your teeth in a barely noticeable way! In addition, the lack of wires or metal brackets means you can eat and drink what you want and brush and floss normally during your treatment.
Invisalign clear aligners provide a more comfortable treatment option. Unlike metal brackets, smooth aligners mean no abrasions or irritation. Also, you can remove them to eat, which means you can still enjoy all your favorite foods during treatment! With over 10 million people using clear aligners to achieve their best smile, Invisalign delivers reliable results that you can count on.
Corrective jaw surgery (orthognathic surgery) treats and corrects abnormalities of the facial bones, specifically the jaws and the teeth. Often, these abnormalities cause difficulty associated with chewing, talking, sleeping, and other routine activities. Orthognathic surgery corrects these problems and, in conjunction with orthodontic treatment, will improve the overall appearance of the facial profile.
State-of-the-art materials such as titanium plates and miniature screws provide superior stability and strength. This gives your surgery results longevity and durability you can count on.
